Research grants
What for? Support original research projects
Who for? Researchers with a PhD who have been ASAB members for at least the previous 12 months
How much? Up to £10,000
UNDERGRADUATE PROJECT SCHOLARSHIPS
What for? Enable individual undergraduates to undertake supervised research projects in vacations
Who for? Undergraduates (including during the vacation following their final term/semester). The supervisor must be an ASAB member
How much? Up to £4,600 (£5,600 for Developing Country applicants)
Inter-disciplinary workshop grants
What for? Organise a two-day workshop at the interface between animal behaviour and another discipline, or between research areas within animal behaviour.
Who for? Any ASAB member
How much? Up to £5,000
CONFERENCE-RELATED GRANTS
Conference Attendance Grants
What for? Contribute towards the basic costs of attendance (registration, accommodation, travel, …)
Who for? PhD students and others with limited funds, and who are ASAB members or have applied for membership by the grant application closing date and complete their membership application within a month of the closing date
How much? Up to £500 (£2,500 for Developing Country applicants)
Childcare grants
What for? Contribute flexibly towards the additional costs of conference attendance faced by members with small children
Who for? Any ASAB member, or has applied for membership by the grant application closing date (and completes their membership application within a month of the grant closing date)
How much? Up to £500
Accessibility grants
What for? Contribute flexibly towards the additional costs of conference attendance faced by members with individual needs such as disability or medical issues
Who for? Any ASAB member, or has applied for membership by the grant application closing date (and complete their membership application within a month of the grant closing date)
